Hartley’s Premonition–Realized!

I’m not a big football fan. You won’t find me watching Monday night football.  So, when the championship game between the Saints and Vikings was on in my living room, I left the room. What eventually caught my interest was not the game but the comments by Garrett Hartley after the game.  The night before the big game, Hartley called his dad around 2 a.m. and said he had a feeling that he would kick a 40 yard field goal in the last few minutes of the game.  This feeling or premonition is exactly what happened.  Hartley won the game for the Saints by kicking a 40 yard field goal in overtime.   Many people get “feelings” about things….maybe about a job, a client to contact, a business to start, a book to write….but then nothing happens.  That could have been Hartley, if he didn’t do the work.  Having a feeling about winning the game would not have been enough, if he didn’t play hard…play his best.  He had to show up and do his work.  We all have gifts but if we don’t do the work, our gifts languish.  What happens when we have gifts and passions that we don’t develop through action?  They become ideas we have, things that we talk about…but they never take form, they don’t materialize.  To make your dreams reality, you have to do the work. Give birth to you intuitive nudges by taking action…one step at a time.  What passion do you have that you’re talking about, thinking about, but not really doing anything about?  Isn’t it time to take action?  All you need to do is to take the next step.

 This Week:  Think about your intuitive nudges….and then take action…take the next best step.
